Grosse Pointe North

Swimmers need to earn 20 points throughout the season to earn a varsity letter. Points are awarded in dual meets as follows:

1st place: 6 points

2nd place: 4 points

3rd place: 3 points

4th place: 2 points

5th place: 1 point

Additionally, swimmers can earn attendance points for each percent over 90% they attend practice. For example, if a swimmer is at 93% of the scheduled practices, they would earn 3 points towards their varsity letter. Varsity points are deducted for each percent under 80% swimmers are not at a scheduled practice. For example, if a swimmer attendance at the end of the season is 75%, they would lose 5 varsity letter points.
